Goldstone to nullify report in UN (Updated)

After coming clean and admitting that Israel in fact does not commit war crimes, Goldstone has stated that he will now work to nullify his report in the UN.

Author of the Goldstone Report, Judge Richard Goldstone, promised to work to nullify the contested report and has accepted an invitation to visit Israel, Army Radio reported on Tuesday.

The invitation was extended in a phone call Monday by Interior Minister Eli Yishai, in order to visit Israel's southern communities that have endured years of sustained rocket fire from Hamas and other terrorist groups in the Gaza Strip.

This is late in coming, and it likely won't do any good, but now the Israel detractors no longer have any ammunition against Israel other than their own bigotry.

Update: Goldstone is now claiming that he never intended to work to nullify his report, despite admitting that it was wrong. We don't know whether or not Goldstone lied then, now, or if it was simply a mistake by Eli Yishai, unfortunately. Despite this, he has still stated that the report is no longer credible, that in fact Israel commits no war crimes and works to protect civilians, even while her enemies use them as human shields.
